Club Competitions Notes 2025
ARRANGING MATCHES
- The person(s) on the top half of the draw is the Challenger and is responsible for contacting Opponents to agree fixture date and time.
- If dates/times cannot be agreed, the Challenger should offer 3 varied dates and times.
- Avoid dates/times when there are home matches scheduled.
- If the Challenger does not act on the above, they will forfeit the match.
- If the opponent cannot agree to any of these dates/times, they will forfeit the match.
- The Challenger is responsible for finding a Marker (not needed for Pairs matches).
MATCH PREPARATION
- The Challenger should enter the match in the Club diary.
- On the day of the match, the Challenger should offer a choice of at least 3 rinks
- Jack is decided by toss of a coin.
MATCH SCORING
- In all matches except Pairs, the Marker keeps score.
- In Pairs matches, one of the Skips (by agreement) keeps score.
RECORDING RESULTS
- Completed scorecards should be placed in the Internal Competitions box.
- Optionally, email Peter Hagger with the result (peter.hagger@outlook.com).
- Optionally, add the result to the internal competitions notice board.
PLAY MATCHES AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE TO AVOID CONGESTION LATER IN THE SEASON
